Exceptional Student Education
The Exceptional Student Education (E.S.E.) program at Sugg Middle provides services to students with disabilities who are in regular education classes, as well as those in E.S.E. classes. At this time we have no self-contained classes. If our students are enrolled in E.S.E. classes, they move from teacher to teacher, just as other students do. Our teachers provide support in varying exceptionalities (V.E.) classes in the core academic areas, or in a learning strategies class. Our students also attend regular education reading classes and electives, such as P.E., music, art, or technology. If you have questions please contact Carolyn Duncan using the phone extension or email listed below. In addition to support for regular education classes, or in V.E. classes, we have services for Speech and Language impairments, Hearing Impairments, Vision impairments, and Occupational or Physical therapy as needed. We are also supported by a School Psychologist and a School Social Worker. |
