First Aid - CPR for Family and friends
Course Length: 2 hours - Adult only.
Teaches lay rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in responsive victim. The course also presents information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults.

Course may also include pediatric portion which increases time to 4 hours.
All skills practice is observed by instructor with feedback.
These classes are scheduled on request only with a minimum of 6 students.
Lay rescuers such as school children, family members of patients at risk of sudden cardiac death, and other laypersons who want to learn skills for loved ones.
The textbook required is "CPR for family and friends". No card is issued for this class. No examination is required.
