Fire Fighter     600 hours

Required by State to become a certified Fire Fighter. Applicants must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, background check, and physical. Prior to August 2007 start, all prospective students will be required to attend an 8-hour orientation session in June.

Fire Science

The following courses are offered from July to June to meet promotional certification and articulation in the AS Fire Science Degree at state community colleges. Registration is required at least two weeks prior to the
beginning of each class. Eight students must be registered for the course to run. Student cost is $150. Books may be additional.

Fire Apparatus Operator 80 hrs
