Outboard Engine Technician, 2 of 2 – 300 Hours
Stern Drive Technician – 150 Hours
Inboard Gas Technician – 150 Hours
Inboard Diesel Technician – 150 Hours

This entry-level course covers the use of tools, equipment, engines, fuel and cooling systems. With a main focus on outboard engines, the course also covers inboard gas and inboard diesel as well as 2-stroke and 4-stroke theory. Students learn how to troubleshoot and repair boats and engines; rig boats with the proper wiring; and install engines and accessories. Members of the American Boat and Yacht Council and the Association of Marine Technicians, the course offers Mercury Marine and Yamaha certifications.
